'Plopping': the hair drying technique to end frizz

What is hair plopping?

Hair plopping is a simple drying method for curly hair that achieves more defined, frizz-free curls in just 60 minutes.

To pull it off, you only need a long-sleeved cotton t-shirt or an old fabric, your favorite styling products, and have wavy or curly hair. The result? More elastic and defined curls without frizz.

How is hair plopping done?

Once you have chosen the piece of fabric you are going to use, you can get to work. We recommend that you look for an old cotton garment, since this material does not create frizz and that is precisely what we want to avoid.

Now that you have the shirt and are eager to see the results, you just have to get started. These are the steps to follow.

To start, you must have your hair clean and damp, you can apply the shampoo for curly hair such as the Fructis Nutri Curls Shampoo, without silicones for a natural touch.
Detangle the hair carefully, remember that wet hair is more vulnerable and breaks easily. Next, apply a nourishing mask such as Hair Food Cocoa Butter.
Dry your hair with a microfiber towel to remove excess water.
Place the shirt on a smooth surface such as a bed or couch.
Turn your head upside down and place your hair over the shirt so you can wrap it. Roll the bottom part of the fabric around your head and tie a knot, turning the garment into a kind of hat that covers your curls. You can use tweezers to make it more comfortable.
